Quick Facts

Jewelers Tiffany & Co., based in New York, are responsible for making the Super Bowl trophy

If coach John Fox is going to tweak his staff, it would likely come this week.

Remember, last year when the Panthers fired offensive coordinator Dan Henning and two others the move came 15 days after the season. This Monday will be the 15th day since the Panthers season ended.

The Panthers typically use first week after the season to evaluate players. The second week the coaches have off. Henning was fired when he returned from his week off at the start of the third work week, which came on a Monday.

I've been led to believe there may not be any changes to the staff, which comes as a bit of a surprise given the team's struggles is so many areas in 2007, including special teams. However, the Panthers could be keeping things under wraps. Check back with us on Monday.

If Danny Crossman is not fired, then these guys clearly are poor managers. I understand the theory that if there is not someone out there good enough to replace a person then don't let them go, but I cannot see how there would be no one who could replace Crossman. Ever since he took over the Panthers consistently field the worst special teams play in the league aside from Kasay and Baker's play, although they both had a subpar year this year.

I think the Richardson/Fox/Hurney are on the same page and I would have to believe Jeff Davidson gets another year because of starting 4 different QBs...

I think if not by the end of today, sometime this week Turdovac , or at least Sunseri (our d-line was atrocious this year) get canned, and DEFINITELY Danny Crossman...

Richardson has a pulse for his fanbase, part of the reason the Panthers are getting 10 million dollars worth of MEGA - SCREENS for next season... I think he knows our defense and special teams FAILED miserably this year, and Fox/Hurney/Richardson are just trying to find replacements..

If I were Richardson, I'd bring in Rex Ryan as our D-coordinator or promote Tim Lewis, and SWITCH to a 3-4 defense similar to what Dallas is running... Julius Peppers needs to start at either WLB or OLB in a 3-4 and just blitz, sometimes lining up as RDT or LDT to throw off opponents... he is underutilized and most decent OT's have figured out just about every move at the line of scrimmage to block JP..

a 3-4 w/ JP, Beason, Thomas Davis, and Diggs(or Rookie/FA) as our LB crew would be just what the doctor ordered ... our secondary w/ lucas/gamble/marshall/nate salley has alot of talent to cover up what they can't cover w/ the long bomb...

panthers will be a special team if at least some of those aforementioned things happen..

OMG i forgot Chris Harris w/ his 8 FF!!!

SIDE NOTES: draft in this order ... OT, DT/DE/Hybrid that fits 3-4, RB, WR or big blocking FB, no 5th round...

START DeAngelo Willams , draft IF available late or nail a BIG free agent RB.. he doesn't have to be 250lbs, just has to be a BRUISER...

I am one of those that thinks drafting a FS first round is a waste of money unless they get lucky enough to land Kenny Phillips... Cooper should be cheap , is a hard hitter, and Nate Salley should compete w/ him in training camp emerging as the starter and Cooper the backup...
