In talking with general manager Marty Hurney Tuesday night, there was no significant movement in contract talks with unsigned first round draft picks Jonathan Stewart and Jeff Otah. Hurney reiterated that there continues to be good communication between the two sides and gave no reason to believe there are any potential stumbling blocks in negotiations.
"We'll keep on talking," he said.
The agents for both players did not return repeated phone calls on Tuesday.
Technically, the two rookies have until Saturday to sign before they're considered holdouts. All of Carolina's other seven draft picks have already signed.
