stupid. stupid. stupid... why waste a draft pick on garbage? Hurney and Fox are great drafters and generally always get good talent in mid to late rounds!! we dont need experienced QBs who are experienced in losing.

I wouldn't be against going after him, especially cus his price tag would be low.  I've read in places that he'd only take a 4th or 5th rounder to get and that's probably where we'd take a qb, so why not go with a relatively young known than risk it with an unknown?

If you look at Campbell's stats, its not like he's no good, his numbers have steadily increased and he's done this with a mediocre running game and supporting cast.  Not trying to make him out to be the next big thing, but I think putting him in a scenario where its not on his shoulders and he's got an overall better team around him would do him wonders.

I would only bring him in at first as the backup to Moore, but maybe Moore doesn't pan out like we'd like and we already would have another guy waiting in the wings.  This sounds like the Carr situation, but Carr was beyond broken by the time he got here, he had no hope.

Bottomline, if we got him, I wouldn't be sad and we'd have two fine, young QB's and if we didn't get him, oh well, we still have Moore and we could draft somebody.

W-S has a real good point. Why not go after a veteran who knows how to lead? Yeaaa sure Campbell wasn't AWFUL but he would bring nothing to the team like a good veteran would.
