It just burns me up how the Panthers are sitting on the A$$ while the other teams are getting better at WR.  Is it possible to get Brandon Marshall for our 2011 1st round draft picks?

Why pay for an over-ripe apple from the street vender, when you can pluck a fresh one from the tree? I think that's our philosophy on the WR position. (On all positions right now, for that matter.) Seriously, though, the only way I see us going after a veteran receiver would be if we traded our 2nd rounder to Denver for Marshall on draft day. (Don't laugh about the 2nd round compensation, that could seriously happen.) We won't trade out of the first round again. We've done good in those trades, but it won't happen three years in a row unless there's just someone we can't live without, and right now, there's no one that fits that bill, not even Marshall.

I understood the moves we made, releasing older players but I don't understand sitting back and not getting Holmes or Bryant. I do not want to see Smith alone for six years. And Marshall is worth a 2011 first round pick, he been in the league for three years and each year he had over 100 receptions. 2 out of the 3 he went to the probowl and this last year he did it without Shanahan and Cutler, he also have the record for most catches in a game. And he's only 26.
