Re: We are getting hosedI don't know what to think. The season will unfold all these things. I'm disappointed because I thought the defense would be better than what we're seeing. So far Peppers is a disappointment. It seems every O tackle is beating him at the line of scrimmage. I'm just flummoxed about the whole thing. |

Re: We are getting hosedeven if pep wants out of carolina, he will have to produce if he wants the long term deal he thinks he deserves. as it has already been said, he is at worst audtioning for his next job and to play lazy this year and just say, i got 16.7 mil in the bank, who cares, would be stupid and a very bad move for his future |

Re: We are getting hosed16.7 mil is alot of money. I could easily make that last my entire life, and to show up and collect 1 mil every week, sounds like a great move for someones future lol. But all joking aside, and speaking of the future, anyone else think the Panthers would be stupid to franchise him next year because they would be looking at 20 mil for that 1 year!!! Anyone have any idea what the odds of that happening are? I'd say slim to none, but look at what Hurny has done in the past with spending too much money on other players. If by the trade deadline he doesn't look like he's giving his all, trade him for a first round pick in next years draft and get a future QB. IMO. |

Re: We are getting hosedIts not out of the question to franchise him again next season. If a new CBA doesn't go through, we wouldn't have a cap next year so 20 mil wouldn't hurt nearly as bad, so long as we have the money to pay him. After next season we can part ways cus he'll be old and start to not perform as well on plays where he actually plays and let him be somebody else's problem. |

Re: We are getting hosedI doubt the Front O would be willing to franchise him at that price, and if they would it would definitely be to trade him and receive some type of compensation. The main goal of the Front O this year should be a contract extension for D-Will....not another Peppers debacle. |
