There's clauses in place to make sure that top teams can't go crazy and sign everybody.  I forget what it is, but it only limits playoffs teams ability to sign FA's I think.  So, teams could go theoretically crazy, but there's at least some semblance of a system in place to keep order.

I kinda hope it doesn't happen.

Redskins are worth the most currently and have led in merchandise sales the last three years and maybe more.  Only the new stadium may have put them over the top as it was 1.5 billion dollars and the redskins was only 250 mil  (just realized I said only.  lol. ) and usually the stadium goes into the value of the teams overall.

Why so much anger at Peppers? He said he did not want to play for this team in February of this year yet the Panthers chose to franchise him, keep him here, & pay this ridiculous salary. They are the ones to blame for this mess. If your job made you stay after you wanted to leave & then proceeded to over pay you, would you leave? Would you give 100% to a team you didnt want to play for?
