We are getting hosedThis stinks!! Pep just hosed us. Can you believe the lack of effort this guy is giving? He takes off every 2nd and 3rd play. He has no energy, no freshness, no fire-NOTHING. How do you think the rest of the D (and team for that matter) feels when they have a guy standing right beside them who takes off plays and clearly said this off season he didn't want to be here. "I don't want to play with you but I'll take the 17 million-thanks". How would you feel? I know they are professionals but he has single handedly screwed our defense this year. No DT to stop the run (even with Make and Lewis who aren't that great anyway by the way) and then the drama that unfolded. Say what you want but it affected the team in the worst way this off season. We shoulda let him walk and who ever pursued keeping him should be fired!! |

Re: We are getting hosedWell he has already made one significant impact. His mentoring of Brown. I never bought into this "taking plays off" theory and I have no proof either way except that there were plenty of plays where I see Pep running down a RB or QB on the opposite side of the field where he lines up like he did to Rodgers and Garcia and Manning last year and I have seen many plays when he was running someone down and Jenkins or Rucker was getting off his knees even though the play was not over. But the bottom line is that Pep has been less than impressive this off season IMO. But for a mil a game (I know Players do not get their salary rate until week one) I want to see a lot from him. |

Re: We are getting hosedYou may "want" to see alot from him, but you wont. We all know he doesn't wanna be here. He's the highest paid player in the league, and he's just gonna show up and collect his money. Don't expect anything near 14.5 sacks. |

Re: We are getting hosedI'd say this is coming from a glass half empty perspective, but I'd say the glass if flat-out empty in this case. He's still playing for a contract next season, so he'll put up. For what its worth, unless he demolishes the sack record, he won't play up to his price tag, so don't even worry about that. |

Re: We are getting hosedAgreed. For 16.7 mil I wanna see 20+ sacks, 75+ tackles, 5+ INTs, 10+ forced fumbles, 5+ recovered fumbles, and he should be in the backfield on every damn play. He should be the whole defense for that much money LOL. |
