He's looked pretty good so far and pretty wise if you ask me.  Of his 21 completions 14 have been for first downs.

Yeah your right, good points & he hasn't looked bad. But he hasn't looked great either. A few of the 1st downs have been due to YAC by the receivers. One thing that bothers me is the fact that Smitty was wide open in the endzone, but Jake over-threw it to Moose, who I believe was double covered (cant remember if he was in single or double coverage). Hopefully it's just some rust that hes working on shaking off before the season starts. But he's had some trouble finding the open receiver in the past. We'll just have to see how it all plays out.

That's what we get when we complain about him having only eyes for Smitty.

I think Jake has looked fine so far given that Smitty and Moose has been absent at times.  Tackling is what has scared the hell out of me so far, so I only hope this problem is as correctable as Lewis said it would be.

i agree, jake has looked okay.  protecting him is a much bigger concern to me, than his ability to find receivers
