Re: It is the freaking preseason!!!I for one am worried and it has nothing to do with our record. I think there are valid concerns after watching our defense give up 2 TD drives that totaled 170yds. Its not that we lost, but that we looked really bad doing it. I'm not concerned about the offense because I think they will be fine. I am really concerned about our inability to stop the Ravens offense at all and the injuries. Given what we saw from the defense I think we should be concerned. |

Re: It is the freaking preseason!!!Yeah, it has NOTHING to do with freaking preseason records dork. The lack of passion, no tackling, letting rookie running backs run all over us. Wait till Micheal Turner comes to town or Reggie Bush. How can we give up 400 yards to 2nd, 3rd, 4th stringers? Thats what worries me. I know better than to go off records from games that mean nothing. It's the lack of execution that concerns me. I'm not sold on Meeks yet if this is all we get. I think the offense will come along but the D disgusts me. Really, it makes me sick. We posed to be better than that and you know it- |

Re: It is the freaking preseason!!!It is the preseason and we haven't even seen our entire starting D, yet. So it might be painful to watch now, but (hopefully) it'll get better when Davis and Beason get back. |

Re: It is the freaking preseason!!!I agree the record has little to do with my disappointment. And although injuries play a huge part in this I am worried about the performance of those on the field. Gamble and Pep have been less than impressive. I though our OL should be better than they have been seeing as how this is the first time we have retained all our starters on the OL since Fox has been here. Our secondary is decimated right now with only returning 2 of the four starters but both Harris and Gamble have been lack luster IMO. I am not really impressed with the new D scheme and this should be evident even in the preseason as all the units should be buying into the philosophy which does not seem to be the case. JD has done well but not great (0 TDs and 0 INTs) which is fine for a game manager but I would like to see him excel after the ARI debacle. We have some positives though like Brown and Goodson and Captain could be electric. Our back up OL and our DTs leave a LOT to be desired though. IMO the starters should play the whole first quarter against the Steelers. |

Re: It is the freaking preseason!!!I agree that having them in the game makes our D better and a bigger threat, but how is having Beason and Davis come back gonna make Gamble able to actually cover a receiver? How is it gonna make the secondary wrap up when they tackle? How is it gonna make Peppers actually give a shit and do something? How are Davis and Beason alone gonna compensate for the mediocre secondary and the lack luster pass rush? Because we know that Fox hardly ever blitzes, so how will they alone make the front 4 play harder and better? |
