Dewayne Jarrett opinons

Does anyone remember Jarrett dropping any passes??? For the life of me I can't remember one bad play he had (when he got to play). He seemed to block on runs and had great hands.

I know he had problems with the play book at first, but he has to know it now. I honestly think that he can still be a stud, he is still very young.

i just dont wanna see us lose him and he becomes a touchdown machine on another team, because fox couldn't tap his potential.

Re: Dewayne Jarrett opinons

Thats the only reason I say keep him for 1 more year. He might be slow and can't get off the line or burn some one deep but he don't drop passes. lol
Ken moore I don't know about?

Re: Dewayne Jarrett opinons

Well, with the limited playing time I saw of him (with the consideration of Foxy's loyalty to veterans and Delhomme's obsession with throwing to Smith), he looked pretty solid, so I feel like there is untapped potential that maybe we can finally see this year, assuming he gets a shot.

Re: Dewayne Jarrett opinons

I would have like to have seen DJ play like they thought he could when he was drafted...IMO 3 yrs is enough time and he has not acccomplished what he needed to. I am ready to turn the page and while it could happen I just do not think the guy will turn into a TD machine on a different club---and I am not much into giving a guy who has been drafted high, provided opportunity over a 3 yr time period...am not going to give a guy alibi's and excuses like Fox or our former QB has the reason he has not flurished...at the end of the day DJ is responsible for the player DJ has or has not developed into..
Also, 3 yrs into it...it was DJ's inability to align properly that cost the club sum big offenseive penalties in the game he started in -v- the NYj's this past season...
at what point is a guy simply deemed to be just to non-explosive foot speed wise to consistently put himself in open positions to catch more passes...IMO it doesnt matter as much if you catch every pass thrown you way if you are not able to get open by separating from NFL db's 90% of the time...
am so ready to give the chance and opportunites to rookie's Lafell, Edwards and Gettis...3 yrs 30 cathes and one TD...I have seen enough or not enough of DJ...he is a UFL WR IMO....

Re: Dewayne Jarrett opinons

Don't get me wrong I'm very excited about Lafell, Gettis and Edwards when ever he comes to form. But if I had to choose between Kenneth and Jarret I would either dump them both or keep Jarret. I hope Lafell will be our no.2 and Gettis no.3 then Jarret, Edwards and Jackson.

Re: Dewayne Jarrett opinons

he had a touchdown and like 17 receptions in only 2 starts last year!.. and those passes were from Moore... NOT JOKE GOHOMME, god knows JOKE would force the ball to smitty in triple coverage,  we all questioned Foxs depth chart decisions when he lied about JOKE being our best chance of winning... maybe his loyalty issue were holding Dwayne back? either im crazy or right, i do remember Jarret making some sweet ass catches last year tho!.. he has hands! no doubt, 1 more year wont hurt us like it killed us with JOKE.. so why not?

Re: Dewayne Jarrett opinons

I'm with you on that!!!Fox does hold players back and he seems to be loyal to his starters your right but if Jarrett was the player who could do these things wonder why smitty had a problem with him learning the playbook muchless his plays? It was to obvious that we went after playmaking WR's in this here draft because of the coaches doubts about Jarrett's progression to this point in my mind shrug! WE WILL SEE!!! THUMBS UP!!!
