I dont know why people think we will be able to control Peppers next yr.  If the Panthers franchise tag him the only way Peppers signs that tender is to eventually sign long term.  If the Panthers were only tendering him to trade him why in the hell would Peppers give the Panthers that control over him.  If the Panthers do franchise him next year it will be for give them extra time to negotiate, and I believe you wont see Peppers sign his franchise tender until a longterm deal is ironed out.  He's already showed that he would rather stay in Carolina then give the Panthers free range to trade him anywhere.  And that was when he didnt want to play here.

If somebody hasn't said it already, we're trading away our 2011 first rounder for a first rounder and another pick in the 2010 draft.

I checked another website- Rivals.com & they say he has a QB rating of 124. But either way you look at it he's awesome.
