good stat.  obviously, we are very fortunate to have gotten d-wil when we did (26th pick or something like that) and despite what media folks say, as long as he runs for a lot of yards and a lot of td's and holds onto the ball, AP can have the accolades....and the fumbles :)

I'm so tired of hearing about Adrian this and Adrian that.  DeAngelo is just a smarter back, who knows how to hide behind the line and knows exactly when to turn on the burners for a big play.  To me, I like the much higher YPC too.  D-Will had enough carries to indicate that if he had gotten the same amount of touches as AP did last year, he would have had a 2000+ yard season

AP is the beneficiary of a very good OL and hard work and gaudy stats that he earned.  The only thing I think the media helps him out with is sweeping his numerous fumbles under the run bc NO ONE EVER TALKS ABOUT THAT!!!!  If we keep our OL healthy this year I think D-Will shows out but I think it will be near impossible for him to keep pace with the numbers he put up last year just bc they were so great even if he did get better in the offseason.

That plus the schedule is alot harder this year. We've got some tougher run Ds to go up against. But when it's all said and done, he'll still finish in the top 5 in yardage IMO.

I agree that as long as he performs for us I'll be satisfied.  AP can be called the best, but the fact is that he's not winning games for us so who cares?
