Re: Fosters Revenge: fumblitis

Well, they've got to get a hold of the ball first before they can take it to the house.

I hope that they spend the next week just fielding punts and kicks.

Re: Fosters Revenge: fumblitis

true in most situations BUT like I read on another board...the disturbing thing is that the first teams aren't doing squat. Getting pounded off the ball and NO penetration what so ever. Fumbling, injuries, and no sense of urgency....

SCREW THIS-BACK TO MY ORIGINAL PLAN. PANTHERS ARE SUPER BOWL BOUND BABY!! WE GOIN ALL THE WAY TO MIAMI THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can get on board with that plan.

Re: Fosters Revenge: fumblitis

There are a couple of things about our first team last night that we must remember.

1 We are a running team and that takes time.  We are not giong to always open up the big run on the 1st series of every game for a TD. Last year our running game was always better later in the game, which I thought was what happened after Goodson started carrying the ball in the second quarter.

2.  Our starting defense still needs to tackle better(OMG did anyone see that God aweful tackling on the rushing TD run) but I think that will get better as the team gets more aclimated to Meeks' defense.  Another thing that has been complained about here was not blitzing enought( I think that will be a thing of the past as we have blitzed the H**l out of teams this preseason.  Also, lets not forget that we only gave up 7pts on defense and that was when the Steelers started on our 30yd line.

Plenty of things to work on, but the season is not lost yet.

Re: Fosters Revenge: fumblitis

i think that it is better to have the fumble problems now, than after the regular season starts.  the glass isn't always half empty folks.  at least now they can work extra hard on ball security this week and if all those fumbles in preseason saves even one fumble from happening next week, it was worth it.

I want to delete this thread so bad.  I don't even want fumbles mentioned.

If they don't atleast work on it, then Fox should just tell them to run away from the football on punt returns.
