DE spot opposite Peppers.....

How are the three Defensive ends looking in camp so far?

Charles Johnson- is he doing enough in camp to earn the duties of being the starter this year? Does he look improved compared to last season?

Everett Brown- This is the player I really want to know about. How is he looking so far in camp? Do you guys believe that he will be able to contribute to the defense with a few sacks and QB hurries this year? From people who have watched him practice does he remind you more of Freeney or Mathis?

Also as a side note, how is Taylor looking? I hope he has improved because if he can get on the field, it will allow us a lot of flexibility on pass-rushing downs.

Don't forget about Tyler Brayton, who looked solid himself when I was at camp.

When I was there no one really stood out except Brown, but I am on the Brown band wagon so I really watched him the most.  He has some pretty quick spin moves and I do think we will see him a lot this year over Johnson and Taylor. IMO.

i think we will see brown and brayton getting nearly the same time. but i think brayton will get more and get the start. but next year hopefully brown is a standout guy and he will start

Brayton still looks to be the starter and I think that is how it will be week one.  With Brown and Johnson used in packages.

I think the key this year is going to be rotating all 4 of those guys to keep them fresh.  If Brown and Johnson can step in with fresh legs while peppers and brayton are out the opponents o-line is going to have hard time keeping up.  Meeks likes speed and wearing an o-line down with it, which could really work in our favor if Brown can begin playing immediatley.
