What's the REAL DEAL?Ok, just tell us already, is this cat going on IR for the season? Do they think he can take a few more weeks and contribute? Wow is the Goodson pick looking genius right now. And I questioned it so much-guess that's why I'm not a GM. Ya'll think he's done for 09? |

Re: What's the REAL DEAL?Stewart told the media himself that he was planning on being back soon. However, if this wasn't the case, the Panthers wouldn't have added another RB would they? If he was going on IR, they probably would have already put him there so they could pick up another player. & thats why I think he's going to be out for a couple weeks into the regular season. I think it's more serious then they are letting on. & I don't understand why Fox and CO. won't just tell us. What's so secretive? Are they trying to affect the others teams gameplanning? They already know we have another explosive runner in Goodson, all they have to do is look at the preseason games. Maybe Fox will let us know something soon, but I doubt it. |

Re: What's the REAL DEAL?No one knows for sure. Remember last year he came in as a Rookie and got 10 TD's and 850ish yards and his missed all of training camp too with that toe thing.

Re: What's the REAL DEAL?Have been asking this very things since May...achillies are often times not very receiptive to the normal healing process and after all this time-off of the foot going next to nothing the next ? is what in the heck is more rest going to do? I for one---and hope I am dead wrong---but have felt for some time that we may not see 28 at all this year...as time has passed by this notion is moving more & motre into the reality of the injury....

Re: What's the REAL DEAL?I think we signed a 4th RB b/c he was better than the ones we cut and you always have to be prepared. What if DeAngelo gets hurt and Goodson is the #1. We'd need at least one more back. 2005 should remind everyone of what happens when your top 3 backs go down. You get special teams guys like Nick Goins attempting to run the ball and it's not pretty. Hoover is too old to get a lot of carries now so we'd probably be stuck with trying to get Fiametta to run the ball up the middle. Basically, it would be ugly.

Re: What's the REAL DEAL?Whoa there chief. I think you mean '04 and that Nick Goings was awesome when he was the starter. Here's his game log from that year: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5767/gamelog;_ylt=Au5AOC_cUK5SABWIqob7zZr.uLYF?year=2004 Regardless, I read somewhere that Hurney said that Stewart's timetable was set for week 1 and I believe him. Hopefully everthing turns out for the best. |

Re: What's the REAL DEAL?Wow you guys over think. If you have a two back system and that is how you want to play then guess what you need two back ups.
