Every year players clean out their lockers at the end of the season. But in reading that I don't see anything new. This is looking at an event that occurred months ago with no new info and trying to make a story out of it. When I hear it officially I will give this some thought and wish Smittie the best wherever he lands. He deserves to win a ring, and I hope he does it with us, but if it's not meant to be there is little we can do about it.

It would hurt to see Smitty leave, but honestly it isn't something I would be against.

He is still a very good player, but playing here the past 2yrs has caused his numbers to dramatically decrease, and it is'nt like Steve is getting any younger.  Though it's hard to admit, we must face the fact that we are not a very good team right now and we definitely have more questions than answers at this point in time.  Steve deserves another chance at a ring, and I just have the gut feeling that we are a long ways away from being a team that can give him that shot.

Pair him up with a good QB, and let him ball out! Rather you stay or go....good luck Steve!
