He had his best years in a vertical offense I think he can help Cam big time. Who else can we get? We could start Clausen which would be nice but it wouldn't hurt to have a vet like Joke as long as he don't want more than what we need him for.

There is little question about Jake's leadership ability.  He was a great leader, with a ton of heart.  It could be argued that before, but certainly after his elbow injury, he just wasn't a very good quarterback.  Given the pressure that Hurney is under for this season, though, I just don't see him back tracking and giving up any of our salary cap room to do that.

I love everyone on the site, We are all Grown men and we will disagree from time to time and I don't want to step on anyones toes but we are intitaled to our opinions and my is : We should have kept Jake last year he cost us a ton just to cut him and lets face it he is a leader like Smitty. It would have been tough but he would have been great as a mentior and the way the season went we may have won a few more games. I  know when he hurt his shoulder and ended up with a new trainer his time as aPanther was over. He had no control and and no real receivers except Smitty. So he had no chance but in real life the Man never quits and want let anyone around quit so if you cam combime with Newtons raw ability and desire and the sky is the limit. So I say bring him back somehow. He is a Panthert at Heart, and he did give us a lot of wins and trip to the SB . He will like Smitty will always be Panthers reguardless of where they go or what they do I will always love them both.When looking at Jake don't look at the end look at the whole carreer and you might change your opinion. God I hope we ge t a whole season.
