I remember him with the face mask on in cold weather. He looked like a robber ready to steal the ball from a receiver. Anyway, I would not mind having him back on the team.

Isn't he the guy that absolutely humiliated McNabb in the NFC Championship game in Philly?

It would be great to have a litte more veteran depth, but there must be a good reason that he's at home right now.

I asked a similar question about Booger MacFarlane a couple of weeks.  Turned out he can't pass a physical.  Probably the same for Ricky Manning, Jr.  I'll try to find out.

I don't see anything about an injury.

There is just no way the Panthers pick up a guy with two separate assault convictions, one in 2002, one in 2006.
