Re: Let's run the ball on that Packers 2-4-5The offensive line is truly offensive. They cannot run block to save their life. They are far and away the most overrated and overpaid line in all of football. I don't want to hear that they're pro bowlers. The Pro Bowl is nothing more than a popularity contest with the fans. None of the 1st teamers ever play thus allowing basically anyone willing to go and play to be in the game. There has been no push from the center and both guard positions while run blocking going back to the 2010 season. Bet ya a dollar to a doughnut the team doesn't even rush for 100 yards on Sunday. |

Re: Let's run the ball on that Packers 2-4-5I think the main reason that the running game was lacking last week was due to the Cards loading up on the run with 8 or 9 man fronts. They came into the game with the mindset that if they were going to lose it would be because Cam Newton was going to beat. That was a great idea until he actually did it. Lets not forget that there were several long runs that came back due to penalties, which included around a 40 yard dash by stewart. The running game will come because teams now see that they have to respect Cam as a QB. |

Re: Let's run the ball on that Packers 2-4-5Remember back to 08 when the running game was working? Teams then were playing 8 and 9 man fronts and it didn't matter. The Panthers could still run on them. This is the same line except for Keydrick Vincent at RG and they couldn't move anyone off the line on Sunday. I'm sorry to offend anyone but this line especially Gross and Kalil are not as good as everyone makes them out to be. |

Re: Let's run the ball on that Packers 2-4-5I hope Cam has on his running shoes Sunday because the only chance Panthers have is him making something out of nothing ........... Packers are going to throw everything at us. Priority 1 fo packers is winning a close priority 2 (i'd guess) is to destroy/embarrass Cam Newton I'd guess as well that we are going to be playing from behind most of the game making the run game impractical even if it does show signs of life.
