The Gravity of the SituationWe all hoped that Sunday would be a close game and some even were brave enough to hope for a win, but I don't think anyone would have thought we would have given the defending SB champs a run for their money to the end. I know we lost the game, but there is hope beyond hope for the future. Cam has played so well that I personally have forgotten that this was his second NFL start. Sure he threw 3 interceptions, but he had to learn at somepoint he wasn't in Auburn anymore. There were times on Sunday Cam made Dom Caper's defense look pathetic and he often made Clay Matthews look like a school girl. You can say what you want about AZ's defense, but no one thinks that GB's defense is a joke. He has shown an uncanny ablility to get us into the red zone. Sure he has struggled once he got there, but lets not forget this guy is a rookie who only now has 2 games under his belt. Cam has thrown 4INTs but he has also scored 5TDs in 2 games, which is almost half of what we scored all year. I for one am ready for the rest of this season and for the first time in a long time I can't wait to see this team play. |

Re: The Gravity of the SituationSuperman, you are right. We need to get better, but I think you are missing the whole point of my post. Sure we need to run the ball better, improve our redzone offense, and defense overall.

Re: The Gravity of the SituationThis is the most optimistic I have been for 15 yrs as a panther fan. Cam is the first QB we have had that I can honestly envision winning multiple Lombardi trophies. I'm not saying we and Cam don't have improving to do but now we have a potential elite QB. We have never had that. Most thought Cam was boom or bust. Right now he is boom and I expect that to continue for at least 10 years. |
