BriggsLance Briggs is unhappy with no deal in Chicago and looking to be gone from there. This makes sense for us at season's end. He could really help us even if Beason and Davis come back 100%. Obviously TD will not be back as a starter and Briggs could control the secondary with Beason. Imagine Johnson/Hardy then Briggs/BeasTon-wow! My imagination is running wild right now. Then we could draft a young talented WR for Cam to play catch with.

Re: BriggsThe MLB is essentially the QB of the defenseso he does control the secondary if he audibles from a blitz with man coverage to cover 2. They do what he says period. |

Re: BriggsWhile many a MLB is responsible for making the huddle calls & most wear the radio reciever like the QB on offense...the MLB is more involved in making frontal adjustments at the LOS...I would contend that most coverage related adjustment are made by one or both of the Safetys...as the Safety has the best overall view of offensive formations and thus is better able to make formational coverage adjustments than is the MLB...often times the MLB takes coverge directives/audibles from a Safety and than the MLB double relays/repeats this call to the front 7.
