A lesser-known secret, Steve's articles have always been available at GastonGazette.com, just as they were at CarolinaGrowl.com."

What a shame. This site has been a staple of my daily surfing for about eight years. I check Cat Scratch Reader too, but it pretty much blows as far as its message boards.

Hi all,
We want to keep the website active because there is obviously still a lot of interest in this message board. We're happy to be a part of that open and honest discussion among Panthers fans. 
However, without a full-time beat writer it is impossible to maintain this website as far as posting and updating stories. Granted, we won't have near as many stories, but we will continue to cover the Panthers with staff reporters. We will have at least two writers and a photographer at every home game for the rest of the season. We will also continue to have pregame breakdowns and preview info. of each game. And of course, we will post everything that Steve writes for the Associated Press. All of that will be available at GastonGazette.com. I know most of you will miss the breaking news aspect of this site, but we will certainly post any crucial Panthers news as quick as possible to GastonGazette.com.
