Re: grab fat albertcali-am tracking with your thought, however at this point in his career fat doesnt care...so I'd rather see the Panthers just go find the largest man on the streets of Charlotte and let this guy play some DT...this would be akin to signing Haynesworth and I'll bet that this largest man on the streets of Charlotte could use the $$$$ alot more than Fat Albert! |

Re: grab fat albertWell, that's not necessarily the case, I don't think, man. Albert was a beast in Tennessee. He seemed to enjoy playing and hurting people back then. I think he just lost a bit of his mojo. In the right environment I think he could thrive again. I vote we sign him off waivers. He'll only cost about $750K for the rest of the season, so what's really to lose? If he comes in and plays well, we've finally got our run-stopper. If we shift to the 3-4 next season and he doesn't want to play NT (like in Washington), we don't have to resign him. But to not even bring him in and work him out would be a major oversight IMO. Also, he went to Tennessee and is from Hartsville, South Carolina. He'd literally be 80 miles from his home town. Might be an incentive... |

Re: grab fat albertgiven these dynamic's as sighted by w-s....perhaps signing him would be worthy of heavier consideration...but i think they should put in a contract that if he doesnt produce all the che$$e goes to the charlottes fat guy off the street

Re: grab fat albertSigning him would take us from bad to worse. Like I said, belichick gets the very best out of his guys and then some. That team is good, has a solid offense and he was paid with money in the bank. I would have liked to bring him in before he went to washington but now he is just a hasbeen. A real loser, a cancer. Why would you want an overweight cancer to move into a team on the rise with respect and a new beginning under rookie of the year? Makes not one iota of sense. He would teach Fua and McClain how to loaf and demand more money for it. He would teach C Johnson and Hardy how to take plays off then complain he's not in a defense with a NT. Now why would you want him again? |
