Are we losing our indentiyIs it just me or are we trying to became a pass first run second time dont get me wrong im excited that we now have a qb that has the arm to make plays down the field but i really dont know what were thinking we got to of the best to rb in the league with williams and stewart but it seems like were not using it to our advangte it seems i love that smith is getting his catches and reminding everybody why he is still one of the best wide reciever in the game but i want for us just to run the ball more we got the fire power to be blowing people out i think lafell should be the number 2 but thats a different story and what happen to us using edwards more he showed promise in the preseason but i hadnt seen him in a game expect on special teams i think we need to get back to what we do best run the ball down people throats and have cam go over the top to smith or olsen dont get me wrong althrough our record doesnt say much we got a group of core players to make a run at the playoffs for year to come long live PANTHER FOOTBALL |

Re: Are we losing our indentiyI couldn't point to the exact article, but I read an interview somewhere in which Rivera pretty much stated that this season was about getting Cam as much experience as possible. Nobody would ever admit it, and certainly these guys would all love to be winning, but I think this is being viewed as a reset year. I think next year we will see a lot more running and more of the Panthers true identity. I think this identity will be different from the Fox era identity, but its hard to imagine that it won't include more running (hopefully behind a line with Gross at right tackle and Matt Kalil at left). |

Re: Are we losing our indentiyRead the same article...after cleaning up the puke...I burned the article. At all times, IMO the Panthers should be associated with winning...if pass-pass-pass is the most significant MO for the 2011 season...and it sure seems to be the case I simply say TOTALLY DISSAPPOINTING and CONTRARY TO DEVELOPING A WINNING MENTALITY! |

Re: Are we losing our indentiyOnce again you have taken the words right out of my mouth. You and I have preached this all season long Cornhusker to deaf and dumb ears on this site that lack any comprehension of football intelligence. A more balanced attack offensively would sustain drives, increase the time of possession, control field position, and lead to more points. All of those things would help the worst defense in the NFL that the Panthers currently employ. I just don't understand why its so hard for some people to understand. I guess its just like the home crowd at BoA that screams and cheers loudly for the Panthers on offense when any 3rd or 4th down play is attempted and sit on their hands when the Panthers are on defense - No Football Intelligence (FBI). |
