Slowly recruiting a new fan...So I am the proud uncle of three great kids. My brother is not really a football fan and since he was older when we left New York he has more allegiance to the Giants than he does the Panthers. But since he is not really a football guy, his son has somehow been turned to the dark side and is a Steelers fan. Granted it really all revolves around the fact that his cousin pulls for them, so he is going with the flow and that's who he watches when he is with his cousin. But my goal is to help him break away and start pulling for a good team. :D So my plan all started when I visited for Christmas. I rocked Panthers gear the entire time I was there. Knowing how passionate I am about the Panthers, my brother even gave Owen, my nephew, a Panthers football as one of his gifts. When the game was on I was sporting my blue D. Willaims jersey as Owen sat at my side asking me all kinds of questions, starved for knowledge about the team I love so much. Knowledge I was ever so thrilled to share. It made me so happy and proud...

Re: Slowly recruiting a new fan...Too true Deezy, too true... I am looking forward to having kids of my own that I can experience things like that with. I wish I was back on the east coast so I could spend more time with the family, but sadly until the economy gets better I have to stay where the work is. The only up side is that this year I can go watch a live game when the Panthers play Oakland. I went to the last one, and was shocked that people did not beat me down. :D

Re: Slowly recruiting a new fan...Love pointing out to the unschooled fan the fact that Carloina's 3 NFC title appearances and a SB appearance over it's young franchise history is more than what any other team has accomplished within their first 17 seasons...this totally blows folkes minds!!!!

Re: Slowly recruiting a new fan...New Sig just finished... Lots of cutting and pasting getting "Win or Lose, the 4 and Life" all in the same font the team is using now. Same feel as my old one, but I like it a lot more... |

Re: Slowly recruiting a new fan...Both my girls (1 and 4) are Panthers for life since birth. If they didnt say PANTHERS!! when they got home from the hospital they were going back. I rock them out in Panther gear every chance and both them and the wife all have the same shirts. Cool to say the least. I almost had a giants fan converted this season since he moved here many years ago, then they won the sb. Now he wants to move back to ny. Geeez. It's ridiculous around Raleigh how many team fans are here and most are not the Panthers. Just want to run em off the road...
