Re: Trading downWe're not in a highly coveted position at eight or nine right now, but that could change after the Combine. If one of the other QBs were to improve their stock enough to get into top-ten consideration, we might have a couple serious suitors. Say Tannehill, Weeden or Foles blew the doors off Lucas Oil Stadium and made their case for getting drafted high by a team in need, then maybe we could trade back to a spot owned by Seattle, considering they're the only QB-needy team not in line to make a top-ten pick. It would be a smart move if we could trade 1sts and also pick up their 3rd and a pick next year somewhere in the later rounds. |

Re: Trading downIf our need for a CB wasn't so pressing I wouldn't mind trading down, but we really need to upgrade that position and the guys to do it with are projected to go quickly.

Re: Trading downIndy is in tough shape and needs several positions. I don't see them giving the farm away like that for a nine pick. Plus luck may have them picking number 28, 29 next year, he's that good. Nice to think about. On the other hand, I would give the farm for Blackmon. Maybe our first and third or first and second next year or our first and second and third next year. I think the kid is worth it. Not many highly touted WR's this year. Probably means plenty of surprises though. |

Re: Trading downI hope Jeffries might fall to the second round and we take him there. I'm afraid Claiborne is elite but kirkpatrick isn't and I don't think Claiborne will fall to 9th. I hope Hogan can become elite and I hope our coaches already realize this. |

Re: Trading downI think we saw the true heros of the Combine/Draft with the DL workouts yesterday. Donatari Poe made a case for 1st round consideration with his speed, strength and athleticism. I honestly think I would draft him over Brockers as of right now. We won't get Claiborne at #9, and now I'm not so sure Dre-K is the guy I was hoping he'd be. I think we'd be wise to draft someone like Poe in the 1st and hope WR Stephen Hill is still there at #40. |
