Just got back from TDY this Thursday! Just in time to see the draft.
Not too shabby, I think we drafted the best talent available according to Carolina scouts. Like others have said never heard of the 2nd round pick but he was graded out for the 2nd round so there must be something to it.
But that not why I am posting, why is there not much love for Josh Norman here, him and Joe Adams was our best picks in terms of value and both will play this year.
So see below for some love of our "5th round DB" from Coastal Carolina.

NFL evaluator: "(Coastal Carolina's) Josh Norman will go in the second (round) just off the Shrine game. Granted, he was cheating the drill and squatting routes, but he picked off about six passes during the week. He is talented."
5th Round: Josh Norman, CB - Late Round Gem? Pete Prisco of CBS Sports labeled Norman as the Panthers Late-Round Gem who Prisco "loves." The Staff at CNNSI said that getting Josh Norman "in the mid-rounds cannot be overlooked." The National Football Post Staff wrote that they "loved…the value of 5th round pick Josh Norman." Hmm, lots of love for Norman, it seems.
Intriguing pick: CB Josh Norman (fifth) -- Norman has a reputation for being somewhat flighty and the Panthers might have their hands full keeping him focused, but if he maximizes his physical tools, Norman has the potential to become a starter. He's not much of a risk at No. 143 overall, but it's not often you find a corner that late who has at least a 50-50 chance of cracking the starting lineup. Norman can push for time in sub packages immediately, and with a solid defensive staff in place, it will be interesting to see whether this project works out for Carolina.
So lets hope he can get in and put the work in, we need a number 2 corner.
