Re: Weekly Debate - 8/3/12i think so based on his two rings alone |

Re: Weekly Debate - 8/3/12IMO the hall is, and should be, based on longevity. Eli, based on his performance the last couple years, is just now becoming an elite QB in the NFL. Yes he has 2 rings, but his overall career is just not enough for him to be inducted right now IMO. He is not that far away though, and his outstanding playoff record has him even closer. |

Re: Weekly Debate - 8/3/12Negative. Do(es) the ring(s) alone get you in? Nope! Both his rings come down to 2 single passes made by great receivers at the time. Very lucky indeed but none the less lead to wins and ring. He did what he needed to, but not HOF caliber IMO. Maybe in 5 years from now, we talk. I still remember when his daddy wouldn't let him play for the chargers...what a sham. |

Re: Weekly Debate - 8/3/12I think that worked out well for the Chargers though....Phillip Rivers > Eli Manning IMO. |

Re: Weekly Debate - 8/3/12Agree, but it was a sham either way. He should be embarrassed that his daddy fights his battles as a grown man. I like rivers but hard to pull for a wolfie. I would love to see the chargers and Panthers in the Super Bowl this year. Chargers are claiming this year as their now or never-last year kinda like we are. Except we are young, but guys like Gross and Smitty, running back situation, LB corps may be looking different next year. |
