Face of the Franchise

Newton has been amazing for a young gun...just amazing! But I really really hope Rivera or perhaps even the Bigcat himself lets Newton know how totally goofy he has looked thru-out the preseason games when he has been wearing that flipped billed sideline ball cap! It is just flatout goofy and IMO not a solid means of repping a organization in a upstanding professional way!

Fact is at least IMO that flip billed ball cap looks 10x's goofier and silly than does a most any tatoo Bigcat didnt want to see! So "come on man" dont put your self and your team in a goofy looking position!!!

Hope we never-never-ever-ever see Newton doing the flipped bill ever-ever again!!!

I am guessing that was a preseason thing. Since he is pulled from the game to let the other guys play. I am sure that he will be back to his towel wearing self for the regular season.

Gotchya McG...wow I dont mean to sound like a goofey ol'midwestern farm hand but it just bugged me to no end...guess I am way old school...i dont get where these Q's got this sideline ball cap idea in the first place...i simply prefer the old school stuff of always having ones helmet in hand....just in case ones name is called upon to enter the game!

I like the hat as silly as it is, it is still better than the towel. Win or lose it makes him look likes he's hiding  or in a shell like a turtle. He has to much Class. I guess it is the Kid in him. He is still a Great player and person. He will Grow up. Heck if he wins, I will buy him a Boozo the clown Nose if it makes him happy. He just wants to be different and he already is and just doesn't realize it.

^^^^^THIS!!! and this started from a guy that supposedly doesn't care about uniforms just the play on the field when people wanted to talk abou the new nike uniforms or the black helmets.  LOL!
