Lol, the Bill Cowher talk has already started up again.  Rather Rivera stays or goes, I hope we finish strong for Cam's sake.  The kid needs it.

And thats key right there, first rounds picks are easy to get right. We haven't had back to back winning seasons and it is getting old. We don't want to become the browns or jags where losing is a culture and if we get a good season in we are satisfied for 3 seasons after. The falcons have turned things around in atl and we need to do the same. We aint the bucs!

all this talk about lack of player leadership is befuddling. Cant imagine why players would not naturally do things teams need to do in order to win! Like holding themselves accountable for giving it their all with on field and off the field preparation and want too!

That said, I do also hold the opinion that Coach Rivera has mistakenly given them a out for lossing...that out being young and not knowing how to close games out! Some times in sports it is best not to belabor a point, because subconsciously it can create a underlying defeatest mindset!

Back in the 1970's Nebraska had a difficult time beating Oklahoma...for like 7-8 straight yrs they would blow leads -v- Oklahoma in the 2nd half and 4th qts...often in the last 2 minutes of the game! This dynamic had a name called SOONER MAGIC...both Nebraska and Oklahoma refered to this Sooner Magic...it was indeed a mental block for Nebraska which they had to overcome as well as over coming the Oklahoma football team!

At this point in time...I think the Panthers organization is battling a mental mindset of lossing and finding ways to lose!

I'm losing confidence in Rivera.  I was somewhat worried 3 weeks ago, now after Hurney getting canned I think Rivera better get this team on a winning streak right away to keep his job.  Chances are a new GM/Football operations guy will want a new coach, the only way Rivera could keep the job is finishing with a winning record.
