He is a 2nd yr 23 yr old QB who is being asked to make some sort of a decision making read on 95% of all the Panthers offensive plays (pass game and read option run game) IMO the coaches could support him better and take some of the need for decision making by providing a more traditional approach to running the football.

IMO the running game itself would be enhanced with some traditional running plays whereby 34 and 28 are simply handed the ball...and in this process Newton gets to take a mental break on the play cuz all he has to do is hand the ball to 34 or 28!

Must we say it again...an effective running game will also open up the passing game.

As of right now the Panthers have a read option game NOT a running game...a read option game that is failing to produce success on the ground!!!
