Sorry, I don't follow your point. I am saying 3rd and long pass defense is a problem, last year and so far this year; IMHO big holes are not good, not getting to the QB (on 3rd and long) is not good, giving up big plays (on 3rd and long), is not good.

Calling plays where QB pressure is the goal actually causes big holes.  If the pressure does not work then a QB can exploit these.  Follow now?

At least Jake understands the difference between a loss and a moral victory.

I understand what you are saying, but shrug all you want "If they pick up the blitz" doesn't explain the reason for the lack of defense on 3rd and long for a team ranked 9th in sack production.

OH I never was giving an explanation about that at all.  I said that was disgusting in the beginning.  I was talking about the difference between pass defense and pass pressure that you asked about.  Take it easy.
