Officiating

Okay first I am not making any excuses for the loss, but I gotta call out the refs for this bad play calling.  They had 3 calls overturned may have had a 4th had Fox challenged the spot of the ball on that second QB sneak, and then generously spotted the ball on 4th down twice.  We did have an opportunity to stop them and didn't but the play calling is very different on 4th and inches from 4th and a yard or half a yard. 

That being said we are still 0-2 but I do not feel like all is lost.  We played well.  Delhomme had 308yds.  Sure up some defensive problems and take care of some easily fixable ST mistakes and we are good to go.  ATL looks to be good and N.O looks like they are just gonna outscore everyone, which could suck.

I agree, seemed like some home cookin' to me, especially a couple of Falcon spots. Even the clock guy let it roll for a second or two on every time out or official time-out. Still, as you said, it's no excuse.

agreed, not the reason we lost. but did you see the ref snatch his arm away from rosario after he scored a TD and knocked him down? if you read his lips after he snatched his arm away he said "get off me". and then the refs were all buddy buddy with mike smith. looked like a little favoritism at the least.

yea that ref deserved to get punched in the mouth that did his little tuff guy act when moose went to see if he was ok.

Officiating was the same ole same ole, but defensively not being able to get off the field on third down just killed us.

I kind of felt bad for that one ref who kept getting pummeled, but it was still funny seeing him stomp off after Moose checked on him.
