This isn't an anti-Jake thread. Even after the Philly game I said I'm fine with Jake, it's Fox that needs to go. Fox should of slid protection and left in a TE/RB to give Jake and extra second or two but he wouldn't and he let Jake and this team go down in flames. I have never been a fan of Fox. Fox is unwilling to adopt new schemes, packages and is unwilling to adapt in-game.

What would you call a guy that has lead a 1-15 team to consistency?  Who has lead his team to the second most wins in the NFC?  Or to lead a team to be only one of four in the entire league to not have a 10 loss season since he has been here?   Or get a team and locker room to rally around a QB that had less than inspiring play even when the team needed it the most?  That alone is the mark of a great coach.  I do not know as intimately as you Fox's role in Hurney's job but I do know he is the coach and responsible for all the things I just listed.

I agree with Jay.  IF we fired fox he would be a head coach somewhere else in a heartbeat and would go win somewhere else.  I do think that we need to fix the defense, but with all of the injuries that we have had at the position we are going to be going on our 4th option at DT.

Why would you want to get rid of Fox??  I mean, I love saying the 'Foxy regime'.  Its fun sounding!!!

I mean, I guess we could have the 'Shanahany apparatus' or the 'Cowhery concoction', but I don't think either of those hold a candle.

People are quick to say the first but we have also never had back to back losing seasons either.

Good point, but I would still consider the '06 season a lost cause because we didn't make the playoffs at 8-8.
