Is firing Mark Richardson the beginning? The post about Fox's job made me think is firing Mark Richardson the beginning of the end for the current regime(hurney/fox). Often the front office gets cleaned out with the coach. You can go into a season with a change in team president it doesn't really affect the players. You can't however really fire your GM and head coach 1 week prior to the season you would have to wait till the end of the season. If you fire your coach now who do you replace him with? In our case it is probably a much less qualified assistant. We have never had a guy with a lot of fire and I think we need one now. When Fox was hired we needed a disciplinarian and he was that. |

Re: Is firing Mark Richardson the beginning?I think we should hire Tom Cable's MMA trainer and have him teach Foxy how to effectively utilize a left hook to punch his Defense so that they can learn how to play with a tiddly-bit of passion. |

Re: Is firing Mark Richardson the beginning? He was not fired. He left on his own. There is a big difference. I do not think for one moment that Jerry Richardson fired his sons before the season in a move to clean house at the end of the season. http://www.panthers.com/news/article-1/Jon-Mark-Richardson-resign-from-Panthers/c3a41799-82d2-4d27-a5e7-12caa85991d2 |

Re: Is firing Mark Richardson the beginning?Well JRich would be stupid to fire the 2nd winningest coach in the NFC with current tenure (since 2002). It ain't gonna happen folks-get over it. Hurney makes smart draft decisions for the most part. Just because they don't do EVERYTHING you want them to do doesn't mean they need to go. The old man knows football and football business. |
