SPECIAL TEAMS...DUHHH!!!!!!Everyone is worried about whether John Fox needs to be fired, what type of D we are playing or whether Jake is gonna get the offensive going. HAS ANYONE NOTICED WE CANT COVER OR RETURN ON SPECIAL TEAMS??? Come on guys I mean after all these are the units that set the table for the defense and offense! DUHH! We consistently gave up field position to the Falcons on kick offs and punts. Matt Ryan had no problem moving his offense from the 40 or midfield. Did we even bring a kickoff out of the endzone yesterday??? Then on top of that we had a punt blocked after we finally regained good field position. We have already a punt returned for a touchdown in week 1. Unless these units improve drasticly I guarantee: WE WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!! |

Re: SPECIAL TEAMS...DUHHH!!!!!!Agree !!! our special teams is struggling! over the years we have always had dominate special teams... all those leaders are gone and its something that needs to be addressed!!! they let go of vinny ciurciu, nick goings, and karl hankton.......etc.........these were all LEADERS and guys that excelled at playing special teams! IT SHOWS U HOW VALUABLE THESE PLAYERS WERE! there is no clear leadership in this phase. it seems like there is a bunch of guys out there that dont care about doing their jobs on special teams! at the end of the day its not the coach its the players out there playing...... you gotta make those plays on special teams! |
