Trading for a DT

Alright two things about trading for a DT.

1) How much cap space do we actually have?

2) Who would we be giving up in a trade?  I highly doubt we are getting rid of anything higher than a 5th round pick because Kemo could be done forever and we now need a QB, DT, DE in next year's draft.  Very unlikely we can get 3 contributors with picks after round 4.

Corey Williams will command at least a 4h round pick considering what was given up for him and we can't take on his contract without also giving up a player.

So which players are most likely to get traded and can someone generate a list of DT's that could be "on the block" or that are in coaches/managements
"doghouse"?

I've seen talk about Glenn Dorsey from KC being available.

IMO, Landon Johnson and/or Dante Rosario are expendable trade possibilities.

Re: Trading for a DT

I would agree on Landon Johnson.

According to DG over at RHH, Leman has looked real solid so far.

From my own personal observations at Training Camp M. Ivy will make this team.  He is one of the most fluid LB's we have in pass coverage.  He brings a quickness and speed that Meeks loves.

Johnson has been underwhelming and that would also free up cap space, not lots but some.

I honestly see us keeping 3 TE's and 2 FB's on this roster.  We love two tight end sets so we need 3.  Unless we are high on another TE on our roster or some FA right now I don't see Rosario going somewhere.  Dorsey was a first round draft pick and there is no way KC is giving him up for a #1 plus a player.

Re: Trading for a DT

Rather KC isn't giving him up for less than a #1 and a player

Re: Trading for a DT

I don't see them trading for a DT rather signing one cut by another team.  Give it a few weeks and they'll sign one by Sept.

They May be hopeing that the Browns drop williams.  If he doesn't fit their scheme they may be willing to take whatever they can get for him.

Re: Trading for a DT

I think the thought is that Dorsey doesn't fit in the 3-4 and apparently he's in Haley's doghouse, so I think he could be possibly to get him for something less than a #1. But I do agree that he would probably still be pretty costly to acquire.
