POST GAME WRAPI tried to sit thru the whole thing but it seems that we better get on track soon or its gonna be a long season....which i think we will.....and couple other things...Goodson is fast and shifty..just needs to hold onto the ball..and Cantwell had a nice 2 min..drill....just should have took it to OT...cause i went on ESPN conversation on the game and the dumb a@@ Giant fans actually bashed on us and yelling super bowl..what did you guys think..lets hear it |

Re: POST GAME WRAPLike I said on another tread, it was painful at times, I really wanted to win but that is what preseason is for, finding issues and correcting them. There are a lot. The defense is getting used to the new defensive scheme, which I still think is good. I am not to concerned about the 1st team, though we definitely need an upgrade at DT. Kemo was a big loss, a gross understatement. Preseason isn't for the first team and is something we must remember looking at the game. Though there are some problems that need to be addressed but I think our backups for the most part are pretty good. That Lyman guy is intense. He was everywhere, just trying to drill people. I hope they keep him for Special Teams. Imagine him hitting a returner, he'd go crazy! Brown looked solid. He will be a real threat on into the season. Goodson looked amazing, and if he would just hold on to the ball, he might take Stewart's spot if he doesn't get healed. I liked Corvey Irvin too, he has potential. I thought Cantwell was the best back up under pressure, and he can run pretty well. Kenneth Moore was pretty impressive and so was Chery. If they ever get mixed in with the 1st team, they could be a legit threat. All in all, the Panthers have a good crop to fill in gaps on the roster. I'm not worried too much. |

Re: POST GAME WRAPAll 4 QB's had a fumble. Goodson better learn to hold onto the ball because he looked REALLY good out there. Cantwell Might be a QB of the future. McCown looked terrible. Moore looked like he always has. The entire offense looked off--Smith wasn't there to stretch the field and Jarrett looked sucky and lost again.

Re: POST GAME WRAPI want to say Meeks corrected on Pass Defense but with just the second stringers and the First Stringers scared to hit (I guess to save for the games that count) it was hard to tell. The coverage was waaaayyy too soft in the beginning. |

Re: POST GAME WRAPAnd what about Gamble? He looked awful. I guess he's trying to save it for the regular season? This game should have been/will be all about game planning. In the regular season, we know we can concentrate on the run cause they ain't got no receivers. None! It's just like Arizona-but opposite. We should have zoned in on Fitz and the pass-duh? We just have to start busting heads with these hard headed running backs. It just looked as though we shy'd away a little too much. |

Re: POST GAME WRAPFirst, lets remember that this the pre-season and there is no preparation for the the other team. With that being said, I think there are several key points to take away from this game.
