Re: Our Rushing D last nightBut we didn't. That's the key. |

Re: Our Rushing D last nightThere is a saying in football that goes something like...5 or 6 plays make, break or decide the game...several of those game decding plays were nyg running plays...one of the video lines on nfl.com...was about bradshaw running over several panthers on his way to the endzone....ouch!!!! |

Re: Our Rushing D last nightSure we didn't stop those runs, but I would think its easier to fix a Run-D that gives up 6 plays for 92 yards and 26 plays for 47yds. Than a team that consistently gives up 4.5yds per carry like the stats would suggest. Maybe I am wrong and its easier if the reverse is true. Either way we would all agree that we have work to do on the defense. |

Re: Our Rushing D last nightAnother point I made was that a DT would have done little to stop it as most if those long runs were to the outside. Which makes me feel worse to a degree. But then again is was the pre season and I say some wierd pre snap alignments out of the Panthers so..... |

Re: Our Rushing D last nightAgreed...fixable yes...easier to fix with a big'ole run stuffing DT...yes...will they be able to find a suitable one...????....there is the concern...trying to fix it with a handful of rookie DT's...could be a season long project! |
