Re: Gruden on MNFI hated gruden when he coached but now after that game I love him, He really seemed to stick with the panthers, and he also said Jake Delhomme is a good quarterback which means a lot coming from a rival coach. He had nothing but praise for the panthers. And he was better at the commentary than those other shmucks in the booth. ESPN announcers don't know anything. |

Re: Gruden on MNFthought Gruden fit in well with Jaws-as a contrasting style--Jaws being the 'analytical-break it all down stat stiff' that he is and Gruden being able to just speak things down into grass roots realities of football....good combination i thought. Tirico seemed like he was just along for the ride---being amused by the exchanges b/t Chucky-n-Jaws... |

Re: Gruden on MNFi thought they had good chemistry. kornheiser never really fit in, kind of like dennis miller. the difference between those two and gruden is that he is a football guy and has instant credibility with what he says. i think he is off to a great start. and as was mentioned above, he will give great insight two MNF games that include teams from the NFC south. |

Re: Gruden on MNFI like Jaws, but he always thinks he's absolutly right no matter what. So when Gruden kept picking with him I thought it was hilarious. Gruden is definatly an upgrade from Tony "bland without sugar" Kornflakes. I can't wait to hear him cover the Panthers vs Cowboys MNF game in wk 3 of the regular season. |

Re: Gruden on MNFI liked that he called Smittie Freddy Kruger. I like stuff like that, I thought he did a good job overall. though I am interested to see what he says when the Bucs are on the field. It will suck if he slobbers all over them, though I can not see him doing so since he was let go and did not leave on his own. |
