Gruden on MNFOkay, for years I have hated this guy as the headcoach of a rival team in the division, but after Monday night I got nothing but love for the guy. He was great and had a lot of relevant insight on the Panthers. I hope he covers a lot of NFC South games because the guy is going to know every team in the division like no one in sports can. Anyone else really enjoy his commentary in the game Monday night? |

Re: Gruden on MNFAgreed...he was excellent...I liked him much better as a commentator than as a coach...he didnt seem to feel it at all neccessary to uphold the goofy image of 'chucky' he was given and prided him self on when he was w/ the raiders. All that said, the insights which former coaches out out is always lightyears better/interesting than the guys actually in the tv profession. |

Re: Gruden on MNFI got the feeling Jaws and Tirico were like, "Hey Chucky quit talking, you are taking over our show". Kornheiser just added little snip-its but Gruden really led most of the interesting topics, showing up both the other announcers. I was equally pleased/surprised about his attitude and spirit out there especially pertaining to the Panthers. He just kept praising us for everything! If I was a Giants fan I would have been annoyed. I think he will make a great addition this year. I always couldn't stand him over on the sideline, thought he was half crybaby/half goofball. Good pickup for MNF- |
