as for turning down the tv and listening to mick mixon- i have never thought he was any good at all.  obviously, something bad happened between the team and bill rosinski, which is a shame because he was THE voice of the panthers.  when mixon was at unc, he didn't do play-by-play and only had to give tidbits on info here and there.  i feel like he still does that as a play-by-play guy.  i mean, he always tells you what the uni's look like and which direction they are going on the field, but he calls it liek a tv guy, assuming that fans see the action and leaves out pertinent info unfortunately, eugene robinson is no fun to listen to either, unless you are a former player.  he always talks in football lingo and he doesn't usually take the time to explain himself.  if you have never played the game and you are listening on radio and eugene says 'jake just missed smitty on that 9 route', how are you supposed to know what happened?  just an observation
