Re: New Head Coach??

The Fox haters need to sip some sizz-zurp, otherwise known as haterade, and leave him and Hurney alone. That is about the only thing right about this team. Fox's hand is being tied with the qb situation. Don't you think he would rather sit JD? I mean being a defensive minded coach, he knows D's would love to line up against JD every week because he sucks so bad. So would he really want him out there? There are other folk making decisions for this organization. You equate Fox with Jake's lack of success for 7 games and call for his head-what foolishness. Yes, let's get rid of the most successful coach in the nfc since his tenure and forget about the 12-4 season last year. WTF?

I've been saying that I would rather have Gruden over Cowher.

Of course it was a joke because I'm not ready to write Fox off just yet.
Well, the grass isn't always greener but when you take a 12 - 4 team, lose two players and come up with 3 - 4 wins the next season I think coaching and front office have to be responsible.  That doesn't mean you replace them with the worst available option just because you can.  On the other hand, keeping both is a admission that playoffs one season and losing record the next is acceptable.

Sticking with Delhomme this long is part of a the same problem that sticking with Foster was.  Reading all the articles on the other page it seems clear that Fox has no faith in Moore and is still convinced that Jake is the best QB.  Ok, maybe he is, then why have we not developed talent behind Jake if we know 3 years later that we can't start Moore?  Exact same scenario until proven otherwise by Moore's play as where we kept Wienke for all these years and when it was clutch he sucked.

These things keep happening, same patterns, that result in us losing more games than we should.

As someone else said in another post, maybe Fox has lost this team anyhow and would welcome a change of scenery.  I can see him as Redskins HC.

That's like saying we should keep playing Delhomme because he's the winningest QB we've ever had and he took us to a superbowl.

I love me some Foxy, he's done so much for this team, but we are lost as a team and something like that, IMO, falls on the coach.  If he doesn't turn things around, I won't have any problem thanking him for all he's done and showing him the door.

I'm not ready to call for Fox's head just yet either, but you hit the nail on the head with that comment. IMO one of Fox's fatal flaws is his loyalty to certain veteran players and a seemingly strong motive to "protect" them.  Now Gohomme is the prime example of this but you could see it with Foster, Minter, Morgan, and seems to be starting with Moose as well.  Fox seems to continue to play veterans on the decline of their careers and purposefully (might not be the right word)discourage or fail to develop players at the same position that could potentially take the veteran's job.  Maybe I'm misreading that situation, but I have heard other fans make that point as well.

Re: New Head Coach??

How do you know its his loyalty and not Hurneys or JRichs? And comparing his success to that of Jake is just wrong and stupid. I was NOT doing that at all. Jake did not lead us to the super bowl at all. Fox and a hungry D did that. Jake just commandeered the troops. Jake is making bad decisions and plays constantly, unlike that of Fox. He continues to reinvent our D and have this team primed to win. Not a good comparison/analogy Danger.
