DT Hayden NOT a scareListen, I don't want anyone to get hurt but c'mon. If Hayden gets hurt I think it's a blessing for us. Cut him and move on. This guy repeatedly gets ran over by helmet head running backs-he stinx. This would give way for someone else to step up. He tackles no better than Chris Gamble, except he weighs like 200 lbs more than Gamble. Get rid of this weak link now! |

Re: DT Hayden NOT a scareConsidering we need any and all help we can get at the position, I'd still cut him, too. He is absolutely garbage. I'd rather run a 3-4 if it mean we didn't have to deal with him being on the field (then we could get more LB's in the picture, too!).

Re: DT Hayden NOT a scareUnfortunately Danger is correct. We need camp bodies at this point just to run practice. We are that thin at DT. I mean we are making two of our DEs play the position due to our thinness. |

Re: DT Hayden NOT a scareThe Panthers can't afford to sign anyone right now because they gave a player that didn't even want to be here (Peppers) $17 million for 1 year. I understand he was the franchise player & that's what they had to give him but they wanted way too much for him in a trade. Plus they gave a QB that had one of the worst games ever (in the playoffs on top of that) a 5 year $42.5 million contract extension. Also, they gave Gross $60 million over 6 years. Yeah he's a good lineman, but $10 mil a year?? Way to go Hurney & Fox, you've got half the teams Fu**in money tied up in 3 players. Pick up the phone Richardson, make a call to Bill Cowher. I know you want to. |

Re: DT Hayden NOT a scareActually the JD move was a good one bc we gave him only 8 mil more in guaranteed money that can now be spread out over 5 yrs instead of the 11+ mil he would have counted this year and would have had to be paid in one year. Gross' contract was good too this will not be evident until next year when a few OTs will be due new contracts and Gross' will look like nothing (as long as the new agreement goes through that is). And you forgot that they also resigned then restructured Gamble's contract which many said he could have gotten more with a new team but he chose to stay here. They also restructured Johnson, Kemo, Brayton, and a few others' contracts to save money. Kemo being the only one that could bite us now.
