Re: DT Hayden NOT a scareThey gave the extension to Delhomme because they needed to restructure for capp reasons. We couldn't just let peppers walk out the door. I'm sure they tried to trade him, but who really knows. As far as gross, he just made his first probowl and was named all-pro. Would they have liked to pay him less? H**l yea, but you don't let a guy that good that doesn't get injured walk out the door just to replace him with someone who isn't nearly as good. I think you are forgetting that we had over 2300yds rushing last year. The only way that happens is if you have a D@mn good o-line.

Re: DT Hayden NOT a scareSeeing the same things in the games as most everyone else...hayden is just struggling and doesn't seem to be fitting out physicaly as a DT...but he is in an NFL camp, so it would seem that the coaches saw something in him as he is back from last yr---If he does get cut, I wonder if someone in the scouting dept will inturn receive a reduction is pay???? |

Re: DT Hayden NOT a scareNo they are all already on the frying pan. All of them have one year contracts which is unheard of in the NFL! |

Re: DT Hayden NOT a scareWow...Is that the way Carolina has always approached the scouting dept. and/or is that the case with Panthers scouts every year? or is this a 1 yr deal to shake and/or wake up the scouts...keeping them on their toes type deal? |
