For the Love. Think People Think.Okay, first let me say that if you want to slam Fox and co. fine, but can we please stop the insane call for Cowher to come into town. I know the guy won a SB, but it took him around 13 years to do it and his offenses have always sucked. If you want to call for Fox's head and the Big Cat bring in a new guy, that is your opinion, but please don't be naive enough to believe that Cowher is going to be an upgrade. If anything, he would bring in a new system with new coaches and cramp our potent offenses style and put our defense even further back for the next couple of years. |

Re: For the Love. Think People Think.I think people just want a nasty D, which I would rather have than an exciting Offense. It feels like an exciting O is a coin flip to win while a nasty D is to be in more control of a game. But just my opinion. I personally do not think Cowher would be an overwhelming upgrade but sometimes just a change of philosophy in coaching is a good thing and can work out. It could be a "worse"/new coach and make all the difference.

Re: For the Love. Think People Think.Until Fox puts together back to back winning seasons, his head will continously remain on the chopping block. Fox has too many bad habits that have been seen for seven years now(loyalty to a fault, unprepared for games, unwillingness to adjust) & I dont think he will change. A change of coaches may do this team some good, especially if he fails to put together a winning season this year. |

Re: For the Love. Think People Think.I truly hope fox wins many super bowls here. I hope in 15 yrs he is inducted into the hall of fame and I'm posting about what an awesome coach he is. Realistically I would have fired him after the AZ game. He stubbornly kept throwing the ball when he had the most potent running game in the league. Fox has been too stubborn for his own good. He can win when he has exactly the team and players he wants but has not been flexible enough when he doesn't have the pieces he needs for his style of play. I hope he is becoming more open to others ideas, I think hiring Meeks might be an indication he is willing to learn new things. |

Re: For the Love. Think People Think.Good thoughts guys. I'm not against the "getting rid of Fox ideas", but I am against the idea that Cowher is a huge upgrade as a coach. Want to bring in a new coach? Fine give me something better than: "Cowher, that guy won a SB". Because it took him 10+years to get there and people were calling for his head in PA before he won. |
