I am just glad I wasn't the only one who thought this was strange. I never understood how do you teach someone who made it into the NFL how to throw the ball better, they wouldn't be here if what they did didn't work.

I do understand you can teach a guy to set his feet and to keep two hands on the ball on your delivery to keep down the fumbles on blind side hits. But to change a delivery of a QB and yes it has been done before but I can't remember a single QB that was better for it.

Honestly I think that was what destroyed David Carr's career (other than sacks), he was a 3/4 motion guys till he got to Houston then they tried to change him as well. His best seasons were when he still had his side arm delivery. And yes they also tried the same thing with Philip Rivers  till he said no I can't change my motion.

good points but...

1)why bring in a QB coach from a QB mecca like Cleveland?
2)Jake has always had a weird throwing style and many others have had odd 
  deliveries and been a success.
3)Jakes problems have nothing to do with mechanics its all in his decision
  making its always been bad and now is even worse for whatever reason.

And thats why Jake has to go...he can throw it 100 mph but if he is gonna throw it into triple covergae every time or choke in every close game then mechanics mean nothing..Brett Farve is who is because mechanics mean nothing to him he might throw it backhanded or flip it like a secondbaseman going for a double play in baseball but he will make the play...thats what Jake no longer does and thats why his time is over in my eyes...and Fox as well for not seeing it earlier and refusing to see it now.
