Re: Sometimes changes are not so good.

Is this why Matt Moore isn't starting yet?
Because he's got an idiot for a QB coach?!

Re: Sometimes changes are not so good.

This new QB coach might be a big problem, but, as someone alluded to, this didn't start this year.

In reality, it started against Oakland last season.  He was able to rebound quickly, but it all came tumbling down against AZ in the playoffs.

Re: Sometimes changes are not so good.

All valid points, and I do agree Jakey has always been a "off and on" QB though out his career. He has for years tried to fit the ball in places that he shouldn't.  I don't think we will ever see Jake of 2003 again and even then he was a decent but not great QB.  In no way am I trying to pin this all on Rip but I am saying I have seen Jake overthrow receivers and make bad decisions before - just not like this year,  he is overthrowing receivers like the rest of his career but instead of 3 or 4 yards overthrows, he is missing them like 10 yards or more.  He has never been a consistent QB, good and bad games come and go, yet this year he has been consistently bad. I will still pull for Jake as long as he is starting for us, but I don't think there is anything that will change from what we have seen to start the season.

Even with all that said, that's not the point here that I am trying to make. The reason why I think this is important has nothing to do with Jake at all, what I am more afraid of is our QB coach messing with our players fundamentals in ways that could affect their delivery and give them more to think about than just getting the ball to the right guy. Why does this concern me when I think Jake is at the end of the road? Because that means we will be getting someone else in that position and if this is a problem I don't want it to be repeated.

And the Story Continues to grow http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/foot … 67044.html

Now Rip is saying he didn't mess with Jake's delivery. Does he even know what he has been doing? State and defend his actions before, now he is denying it all. WoW!!!!
