Panthers/SaintsI've been coming to this site as a guest for the past two years now and have finally decided to create an account. Before I start my initial post I would like to say that while I am only 21 I have been following this team since Steve Buerline (spelling) and Barry Foster. Can't exactly player came first because of my age at the time, so I am quite familiar with the franchise.

Re: Panthers/SaintsWelcome to the Growl, and you are exactly right in the sense that this game is a muust win if we are to advance any further than the regular season. I hope the win Sunday will put us on a tear through the rest of the schedule that will allow us to gain momentum and take it into the playoffs if we get there.

Re: Panthers/Saintsand another welcome to you. I agree that this would be an important win to get into the playoffs. If we can win Sunday, we will be at 4-4 and looking at a chance to pass ATL up for a WC spot. Because if it comes to a tie we have the breaker due to strength of schedule. |

Re: Panthers/SaintsWelcome! Well just heard J Clayton say...NO has the perfect set up to be unbeaten going into the NE game...AS THEY HAVE 3 EASY GAMES leading into the NE game...could careless about 2 of the 3 teams but JC certainly doesn't think much of Carolina...PO'ed about this prospective...but it is a good setup for a NO fall and HUGE PANTHER W....No one thinks they can beat NO...kind of like last year when no one thought AZ could beat Carolina!!! |

Re: Panthers/SaintsEveryone is drinking the N.O. koolaid right now, which is cool, but they should not forget that N.E. went 18-1 last year. Its not about going undefeated in the regular season. Its about winning the one the matters the most. I'm not expecting a win SUnday, but if the same team shows up Sunday that did against AZ the Saints are going to be in for one hell of a surprise. |

Re: Panthers/SaintsI think right now, the Saints are primed for the perverbial "Trap" game against us. They had to have a big comeback against Miami and Atl took them to the brink last night. Those are 2 huge, emotionally draining games. Not sure they can do it 3 weeks in a row. Atl exposed the run game against them, too. If we can keep it close in the 4th Qtr, a "W" is definitly possible. |
