I've been coming to this site as a guest for the past two years now and have finally decided to create an account. Before I start my initial post I would like to say that while I am only 21 I have been following this team since Steve Buerline (spelling) and Barry Foster. Can't exactly player came first because of my age at the time, so I am quite familiar with the franchise.
I watched the Saints/Falcons game tonight unsure of which team to pull for due to the underachieving this team has been through this season. I watched Sportscenter, NFL Primetime, and Sportscenter (in that order after the game) and for the first time this season actually became upset about how the Panthers are being overlooked for this weekend's matchup. Granted everyone up until the Patriots game is as well. But something that should be of note is that the home team has not won in this matchup since these teams hae met in the 2001-2002 season. (I looked this up on ESPN.com)
With that said I'm hoping for good things in the matchup in what I consider is a must win game. Given the way the Saints have played this season I'm a bit worried but I believe if we play the way we've played the since the 2nd half of the Redskins game (minus the turnovers of course) I'm starting to believe winning the division is not too far fetched at this point despite being down 4 games. It's going to take some work and there is a small margin of error, starting this week.
holy errors batman. ok are you talking about deshaun foster? who is barry foster? unless im missing something. ok 2nd of all we deserve to be overlooked by the way we have played up until sunday. it has been pretty much pathetic. no suprise there. 3rd of all the home team did win in this matchup last year when we beat them at BOA. forget about that game? finally, being 4 games out of the division with 9 to go means that its pretty much impossible that were gonna win the division, but thats your opinion and i cant really fault you for that one. hell i hope you are right lol.
